Could easily have become one of my new favourites. It’s a story that does it all through the mind of a character that perpetually limits himself and I cannot wait to read the book that has been for so long in my tbr.

Very sad and depressing but beautiful period piece movie with amazing acting and such a controlled performance by Anthony Hopkins, portraying loneliness and sadness. The ending will stay with you forever!
