The Red Balloon Reviews

honestly a perfect portrayal of childhood innocence with a very wholesome narrative and backstory. the effects used throughout are simple yet very clever, and the ending is as beautiful as it is climactic. people should watch short films instead of short-form content

Overall a decent film with some beautiful shots of France

9/10: Before there was SpongeBob and Bubble Buddy, there was The Red Balloon. A quick, cute watch about a little boy finding companionship with a balloon in a world that can’t understand what he sees in such a harmless object

c’est beau que ce soit en terme d’image mais aussi d’histoire.

Not gonna lie, if a balloon followed me around for days and never showed signs of deflating, I’d assume there was something magical going on, too. It’s such a poignant ending and a reminder of how cruel people can be about something simply because it brings someone else happiness, but it also delivers the message that there will be more goodness, more happiness, you just need to be open to it.

linda :)

Cute, bitter, and a well-done metaphor for society’s wills. Beautiful ending and powerful message. Was a little strange though. 7/10

Childhood

It was alright. Watched it in English class and it was kinda boring. Slow, but has a cool ending.
