Watched for my film class and can say I really enjoyed the movie. The main characters life was so sad and made me really hate her husband. I was really rooting for her so when the ending twist happened I was left upset / unsatisfied. Great movie with great writing and unique plot

What was that ending?! Got me invested and then put that ending on me?!

I watched this in film class and this was a unique, fun and emotional experience. All aspects of this film were great and even though the ending disappointed me at first I understand why as it illustrated the point of movies only allow us to escape for a bit. I loved this one.

I was writing a script and studying screenwriting, particularly about the plot point. When I saw this movie, I decided to throw away the 58 pages I had written. It was that determinant but n my writing.

rip cecilia you should’ve pulled a mickey 17. jokes aside a beautiful movie, but i wish its themes were explored more in depth

I was disappointed. It’s hard to route for the characters that you’re supposed to because of their morals. It’s a creative story though with some good acting and interesting conversations. Hardcore cringe overall though.

I kinda hate it. Movies with infidelity as a core plot point are just uncomfortable, with awful morals.  But I appreciate the creative premise and how they really go all in with it. I also appreciate some of the humor, themes, and performances.  And there are some surprising insightful moments (the brothel scene, ironically!).  But you will be constantly cringing at the infidelity. Yes, her husband sucks, but two wrongs don't make a right. Plot/themes would have worked better with her being single.

One of my favorite Woody Allen movies, where the usual angst and relationship drama gets tangled up between reality and the silver screen. No attempt is made to explain how it comes about, which makes this homage to classic films all the more satisfying.
