Actually one of the worst movies I’ve ever watched. The acting was terrible and the writing was so much worst. It’s a great story, but executed horribly. Wish people would stop overhyping it and actually look at it from a cinematic point of view. And main couple had no chemistry.

Cool but it belongs to a past era. The Platonic base of the plot is too repetitive and represented through a manly-made dystopian world full of weapons

«The Matrix» is life a dream? Watching this for the very first time two days ago I must say I was a little dissapointed. To me, nothing really happened in this movie or at least the events didn’t feel so life changing. I’m sure it was pretty revolutionairy back in ‘99 though!

super cool movie :) i love morpheus so dearly, the cinematography was awesome and even though i’m not the biggest fan of action, the action scenes were interesting, i liked the agents and morpheus’s crew a lot and their fight scenes were fun

Favorite movie of all time

I overhyped this movie too much. Still think it’s a good movie but people saying that this is one of the best movies ever, I will never understand that

watched it for mari berry very good

hate the matrix was made to watch it and when a certain scene came on i started crying and ran to my room and wouldn’t look at my step dad bc i was so disturbed (it’s one of his favorite movies)

I feel like I’ve been missing out by not watching this masterpiece sooner. Oh God, what a fascinating world-building experience. The action sequences are brilliantly executed, and Keanu is just a joy to watch on screen. Aura maxxing at its finest.

I rewatched this to see if I could see what I didn’t the first time around. But ngl exact same experience it’s pure 2000s not in a good way and a good idea but with a basic plot 8.6/10

Holy cow this was boring. Maybe 15% of it was engaging at all. Individual ideas were cool, but together they were nonsensical and overly complicated. Runtime was egregious, I was in shock to learn I had an hour left

This movie was pretty boring, I love a good sci-fi movie and a simulation plot isn’t bad it’s kind of just the execution that made it crap
The neo trinity romance was also so freaking boring bc they had zero chemistry the entire movie and if that oracle is so freaking omniscient then why did mouse have to die
Overall just the like cgi or wtv was garbage, all the slowmo wall running, the weird bullet dodging, like I can’t imagine people seeing this movie and legitimately thinking “wow this is really cool”
