A very good western directed by one of the most iconic film directors John Ford and starring two of the most legendary actors in John Wayne and James Stewart.

While the story and cinematography are both excellent, it’s the dynamic between James Stewart and John Wayne that really made this great for me. 9/10

James Stewart and John Wayne were great, and their roles were a bit different than what you usually see from them. There's plenty of comedy that I was surprised to see, but every character in here was entertaining too. Will be among my favorite Westerns.

I could watch this a hundred times and still be fascinated by these two actors.

Seeing Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne on screen together did something to my filmic mind that can thankfully never be undone! What a film, they simply don’t make westerns like this anymore.

This is a really good story, but it has way too much to do with politics. I wanted there to a little more action. A good shootout or something. Twist ending was a bit predictable.
