The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Reviews

This movie was truly spectacular. It has awesome action and suspense. It is one of the best action and adventure films of all time.

Watched last night. Better than the first the pace picks up a little bit. Gollum is a god damn crack feen for that ring man, guy creeps me out. Epic battle at the end, when Gandalf the white shows up I got a little bricked up ngl. Frodo Baggins still sounds like puss boi tho.

How can a director reach this level of excellence making 4 hours feel like air. Mind blowing man, so much better than the first.
I see now what the hype is all about.
Gave me a glimpse of the masterpiece GOT, god I miss it so much.

9.5 - not quite on the level of FotR but still epic. The sets, costuming, makeup, effects, & score are all as amazing. The battle of Helm’s Deep is one of the greatest battle sequences I have ever seen. Amazing how 4 hours can fly when you’re totally immersed.

Much better than the first it is overly long and the plot doesn’t work if you haven’t watched the first it’s a bit to reliant on fellowship but everything is better characters story pacing and it has one the best final battles in a movie great movie 8.8/10

There's zero doubt in my mind that Peter Jackson and J.R.R Tolkien were pure geniuses at work. The world and character-building is colossal, I can only imagine how saturated the books are. I'd honestly call it 4 hours too short. Each movie in the trilogy is cut and stitched together with so much appreciation and passion. I didn't really feel attached to anything from number 1, maybe Gandalf because he's an absolute mythic titan but it's because I didn't know the trilogy is one gigantic journey built on a forest of stories. I love how different the characters are, some annoying, some charming, some depressing, some broken. The colours/practicality/visuals/score/cast/cinematography/locations/script all feel like an unnatural yet natural dream coming to life. We cries a little, we laughs a little, we is want more of my precious.

The Gandalf storyline makes no sense to me. The rest of the movie is really good. Gollum is a tweaker.

For me, this one was better than the first. I loved the ents and the final battle. After watching this, the line/song "they're taking the hobbits to isengard" lives rent free in my head. The developing friendship between Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn was so good!!

The bonding of the fellowship and the character development even for the evil characters is just unmatched by any movie or series

the movie of agony and despair istg. they did not give me a moments peace. i love smeagol he deserves so much better, i cried for him when frodo betrayed him. im so scared for the next movie.. this one ended with a fraction of hope, but fuck its 3h- everything could happen..

Honestly speechless.. Helm’s Deep gave me the chills and the word hope feels fragile here, but somehow also strong. It has lots of hidden meanings and lots of layers to cover. Tolkien..👏🏻

BOROMIR DIDNT EVEN WANT TO GO

I just can't give this a lower rating, this was perfect, in comparison with the first one, it just feels so much more natural, in the sense of the story continuing, fighting scenes, dialogue, humor, it's just perfect
The movie being almost 4 hours is crazy but definitely worth it
