The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

This movie was truly spectacular. It has awesome action and suspense. It is one of the best action and adventure films of all time.

Watched last night. Better than the first the pace picks up a little bit. Gollum is a god damn crack feen for that ring man, guy creeps me out. Epic battle at the end, when Gandalf the white shows up I got a little bricked up ngl. Frodo Baggins still sounds like puss boi tho.

How can a director reach this level of excellence making 4 hours feel like air. Mind blowing man, so much better than the first.
I see now what the hype is all about.
Gave me a glimpse of the masterpiece GOT, god I miss it so much.

Watched the extended cut. I feel like Mary and pippin wasted SO much fucking time with those trees but it was worth it in the end. Also I only realised at the start of the movie that Mary was a guy, coulda fooled me. Everyone’s character moves along so smoothly and it all makes sense. Gandalf returning was awesome, gollum and smeagle were great additions to the film, butcher coming in was also pretty cool (Carl urbans character) I think the whole king storyline was great and helped the story and especially the battles feel so much grander. Speaking of, the action in this was felt like a big step up, Aragon and Legolas, were putting in the working work, they were so awesome during the final hour. I think Legolas might be my favourite character but it’s hard to put him up against gollum and Aragon, if he had a little bit more character or story to him it would be a sweep. Yeah, just as good as the first, just as fucking goddam long, 4 hours for this! So worth it tho.

My score: 9.5/10

8.6/10

the only reason this isn’t my favourite LOTR was simply because return of the king exists. this film is so amazing, just like the previous one. the battle of helms deep is easily one of my favourites of the entire series. i can’t wait to finish this trilogy.
