Extremely charming adaptation.

You can totally see where the live action drew a lot of inspiration from. interesting use of mixed media type animation…for its time. Well constructed and engaging. Can be a feel very rough cut and hurried. but seems a like a reflection of the times in development.

Maybe it's a good thing this movie was supposed to be a two parter, because the pacing is fucking exhausting

it was interesting to see all the parts the new movies used from it.

4/10 I can totally see how jackson’s lotr masterpiece took inspiration from this but even so the nazgul and battle scenes were bleak, the details kept and deleted felt very arbitrary, and the epicness of most characters felt unreasonably diminished … the ending was just bad

not at good as the first animated motion picture.

It definitely jumped around, but it crammed the fellowship in two towers into one two hour movie. The rotoscope animation was kind of cool.

One of the absolute GOATS of the genre. If you love fantasy and haven't watched the whole series, you gotta change that asap.
