4/10 I can totally see how jackson’s lotr masterpiece took inspiration from this but even so the nazgul and battle scenes were bleak, the details kept and deleted felt very arbitrary, and the epicness of most characters felt unreasonably diminished … the ending was just bad

It definitely jumped around, but it crammed the fellowship in two towers into one two hour movie. The rotoscope animation was kind of cool.
