The Line

I can't tell if I like this, but there's so much I feel it does right. Exhaustion, exasperation, irritation, and frustration. Watching a bunch of homophobic, racist, sexist, xenophobic, and hypocritical egomaniacs bully each other for an hour is nothing but pure fatigue. American media is fixated on high school/college culture. Every depiction prompts the question of where 'the line' sits. The story uses a fraudulent fraternity as a vehicle to discuss social conformities like toxic masculinity. The atmosphere was built from the very first scene and the entire cast held it incredibly. A grounded mix of juvenile and serious, even the soundtrack knows the tone.

Moral of the story: frat bros are evil

predictable but still intense and unsettling. alex was incredible in this like he always is. alex and lewis 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️. hats off to austin too, so good in this.
