Movie good i like

I liked this. I had trouble following along at some points, and a movie like this isn’t really my cup of tea, but I did enjoy it and I’m glad I watched it. Good action, good tension, good storytelling. The end was insane and the highlight for me. Good movie!

Woah. Never heard of this movie but I’m glad I watched it. Woah.

The only thing I will say about this film is that both its pacing and depth is where it is lacking the most, but that doesn’t account for its amazingly realistic action sequences, strong performances by the actors, and great direction by Peter Berg to deliver a good film. 8.8/10!

Not bad not great

After the slow-burn drama that proceeded, I did NOT expect that 3rd act…

Even as a drama the film was plenty engaging enough, if not a bit heavy handed with context and constant exposition. But where The Kingdom excelled was with character building, so when that 3rd act extended set piece unfolds, you really feel the pressure and panic for the characters you’ve come to care about.

All the main players did a really solid job. Jennifer Garner in particular, she was superb here - dramatically, and when shit hits the fan, seemingly doing her own action. Always a pleasure to have Chris Cooper doing his thing, love this era of Bateman’s work where he’s just constantly sarcastic.

For some reason this has been on my radar for a hot minute, saw it on Apple TV’s “films for £2.99” and jumped for it.

8/10- intense

damn. this film is tough to watch man.

fucking hate terrorism. it disgusts me.

this film does a great job showcasing the tragedy of the terrorist attacks against FBI agents in saudi.

that was one brutal way to start a movie. jesus.

amazing action sequences, didn’t notice any shitty vfx, the explosions looked realistic for an ‘07 film

pacing is kinda mid ngl, that’s why it lost points. but overall a good watch.

loved jamie foxx’s performance.

wouldn’t rewatch, but it’s good for one take.
