One of the great John Woo classics featuring all of his hit singles including extensive violence, gung-fu, Chow Yun-Fat, and some of the greatest proto stereotypes to come out of the genre. In particular, The Killer shines in its depiction of guilt and conscience, painting a window into two experiences shackled by the same emotions and telling a story as exciting as the one you think you’re about to get. A tragic, badass film, and a classic for a reason. 4.5/5
