this movie surpassed any expectations i had. what a story, what a film

7.9 - a soul crushing story that makes for a really tough watch at times. Acting, sets, costumes, music were all solid. What may have amazed me most was all the truth that was cut because it wouldn’t have been believable.

The amount of mental and physical pain I just felt, I'm suing you, Sean Durkin.
I absolutely think this is the best sports movie to date. I went in expecting a generic sports movie like 'Ali' (2001). Well, it's none of that. The fights were done amazingly, the pace was perfect, the soundtrack/score was beautiful, and the cinematography and editing was outstanding. The acting was genuinely jaw-dropping from everyone. The message was anything but generic. I could talk about it for days upon days. You couldn't even bodyslam a 'negative' out of me.

The Iron Claw is, in its purest premise, a kind of sports "Succession" where the fight for parental attention plunges the clan into a downward spiral of tragedy and pain.

Must watch if you were/are a wrestling fan like me. Non-fans will enjoy it too, but you’ll appreciate it much more if you’ve followed at all.

No joke I went to the gym immediately after I finished watching because Zac efron is so yolked 💪

Movie is shot amazingly and has a top notch soundtrack, the acting is pretty solid, but god why did such an otherwise good and heart tugging story have to involve wrestling.. its just so lame.

Best film I have ever watched. Being a 13 year old girl, I went into this not expecting to understand the film. After watching i have become fixated with the heartfelt story of the Von Erich’s. A bit upset they didn’t include Chris but i understand why they had to cut him.

The only movie that’s made me uncontrollably cry. If Zac Efron doesn’t get at least a nomination for his role, I would be surprised. Best film of 2023 in my opinion

Wow 😔 this film is absolutely incredible. It was highly recommended by a lot of my friends, finally got around to watching it and I was in tears by the end. Such a sad story but also hopefully throughout. I really attached to Kevin to the most with his whole arc of wanting to wrestle but ultimately wanting to live a better and happier life with his wife and kids. Everyone killed it in this one but Zac Efron just got to me man. Really well done, would highly recommend watching this at least once in your life.

I hate this movie so much

This was a captivating tragedy story of this family. It was beautifully done and Zac efron put on an Oscar worthy performance. Even tho I’ve never been the biggest wrestling fan I very much enjoyed and appreciated this movie

let’s just say thank god i didn’t watch in theaters because there simply would’ve been nothing more embarrassing than breaking down in so many tears in front of strangers. truly beautiful. the acting was phenomenal all around. AND I HATE WRESTLING. what has this movie done 9.9/10

The acting was superb from everyone especially Efron. The story was heart wrenching. At times you’re thinking how can this get worse for this family and come to find out they actually toned it down from the story of the real family. A great watch and very emotional.

A devastating story of a family forced to fight. This is easily a career-defining role for Zac Efron who plays the emotional core of the Von Erich family. Showcasing how the ugly monster of toxic masculinity rears its head in the most viscous way.
