The Innkeepers

Given the amount of obscure horror lists I’ve seen this on, maybe my expectations were too high for this. The look of the ghost is great, but everything else is below par. It’s got a bit of a late-80s/early-90s schlocky feel to it that doesn’t really work unfortunately. Sloppy.

It had a few good moments, and I liked the chemistry between the two main characters, but too much of the movie was far too slow and dragged out. And in the end there was virtually no payoff, nothing was explained.

Good but didn’t quite land the ending for me as much as I hoped it would. Close though…
