Could more have been done with this film? Yes. Yet that doesn’t take away the fact I adore this film. Stan Winston, the absolute genius you are with practical effects. I love how you can understand where everyone in this film is coming from, I truly do not think there is a 1/2

not what i expected! i thought it was gonna be like jeepers creepers but it’s more like pet sematary
it was really cool though! the dad and son were so sweet oh my heart :(
pumpkinhead looked really cool and i enjoyed the themes of revenge and grief a lot

cool vibe, cool props, cool effects, but just fell short.. pumpkinhead himself is a beautiful design and a super cool sculpt with a very alien like texture (thank u stan winston) but i would’ve loved to see him more in action and more murderous, it would’ve been really cool to see with that prop! plus the characters themselves were kinda washed bc at no point did i ever actually care about their fates or rooted them on at all, all except for poor little billy harley :( i see why people like it

Despite what the title says, it in fact does not resemble a pumpkin whatsoever, which is kinda sad, like where's the whimsy yfm. If anything, it looks like a reptilian xenomorph
