The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
I really liked the opening scene with Smaug. I did find myself enjoying most of the battle sequences, however, this movie had nonstop action throughout and it began to get a little overwhelming. I definitely prefer the LOTR trilogy more but the Hobbit trilogy was still a fun time

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
Genuinely an experience I'll never forget. All 6 movies each have something memorable and Peter Jackson knew just how to do it. Both trilogies begin with starters and end with dessert. Stocked with lore/fantasy/horror/comedy/action/tension/mystery/anticipation/heartbreak. This may just be my favourite for the constant politic-like narrative between so many different races, and of course for the non-stop unreal/insane/ghastly visuals. I ended up loving so many characters that I couldn't bear. Scenes reach a height not even Sauron could handle, to start it with peak horror and astonishment and carry it through the entire runtime? Aglareb. I didn't want it to be over...now I'm sad.

this one rocked. i loved how much Smaug’s attack and the final battle was expanded. and let’s talk about Kili. i KNEW he was going to fucking die and i still got attached. the conversation w Tauriel and Thranduil at the end… “why does it hurt so much?” oh my god just kill me now.

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely loved Legolas in every single scene his character is just chefs kiss. One thing that pissed me off was how Thorin was "conflicted" for SO DAMN LONG, like I understand the stone corrupts you, that's the whole point but come the hell on

It long and you feel it but it’s still good. Thorin is the highlight, his actor was insanely good at acting with his eyes.

for a concluding film to a fantasy trilogy, this couldn’t be less satisfactory. the characters are at their blandest and worst written here, and the visuals seem to take a laughable step back. again, thumbs up for gandalf and my sweet tooth for fantasy

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
3/5⭐️
I finally finished watching The Hobbit trilogy. In my opinion, making three three-hour movies was unnecessary. The book is not that long and only consists of one volume, so the story could have been told in a much shorter format.
I still prefer the special effects from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which look much more realistic and timeless compared to some of the CGI in The Hobbit. The cinematography was good, and the visuals were impressive, but some of the dialogue felt silly while other moments had meaningful and memorable lines.
The dwarves can definitely become frustrating throughout the three films, but during the final battle, they finally show why they are considered heroes.
Overall, it was an enjoyable journey back to Middle-earth, but it didn’t reach the same level as The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

would have been boring if they had followed the book with bilbo passing out for the whole battle 😅 didn't need the love triangle though 🤷🏻
