I was hesitant to love this movie at first, despite thoroughly enjoying it, mostly because I didn’t understand its theme or war’s relation to the story. Now that I do, I can confidently say that it is, without a doubt, a masterpiece. (why in comment)

Overrated

Bunch of gay men staring each other in the eyes for 3 hours 🥰, it doesn't get better than that.
The best western movie out there, and def the best out of the trilogy too.
Also enough being scared of society, I didn't love this ☹️.

It’s a classic for a reason. that score is brilliant along with the slow build up and wonderful acting by the main three actors. it’s long but it’s worth every minute

If you only see one spaghetti western in your lifetime, this is the one to see. The score for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is magnificent. The main theme that plays over the titles is simultaneously of a specific time and also timeless.

The Good The Bad And The Ugly is well in its own right a masterpiece of western media, its comedic, dramatic, epic and all and all entertaining. While I do have some issues, I’ve been told my main issues are due to the cut I watched. However the last 30 minutes was one of the greatest finale to a film I’ve ever seen.

1st Act 8.7/10 (Slow burner, I’d say it has a minor effect on you, but it’s good as is, it just gets all worth it in the end.)

2nd Act 9.4/10 (The best character development, fixes the pacing for the most part, and has one of my favourite moments.)

3rd Act 12/10 (Every shot is perfect, the musical score is perfect, the whole act is earned, the tension couldn’t be any higher, and yet still after 60 years, it still surprises you.)

Plot 9.2/10 (I didn’t think they’d be a duo, but it grew on me when it finished.)

Soundtrack/Score 12/10 (One of the greatest soundtracks of all time, with one of the greatest songs of all time.)

Acting 10/10 (Tuco was actually the most well played funnily enough.)

Pacing 8.7/10 (I’ve been told this is due to the cut I watched, so I rewatch in the future will happen, but despite the fact it’s so slow at times, it is all worth it.)

Cinematography 9.8/10 (That musical play while Tuco walks, heavenly ascent.)

Character Development 10/10 (The finale and the hospital scene is all you need to know.)

Writing 9.4/10 (Insanely quotable, but again, stagnant moments from the pacing drag it down, I can see myself having this much higher with another watch.)

Ending 11/10 (There’s peak, and then there’s the ending of the good the bad and the ugly.)

Direction 9.9/10 (HE IS A MASTER, AND I WILL NOT HEAR OTHERWISE.)
