God I fucking love this film, an absolutely unbelievable feat of filmmaking.

Just the most incredible story set across the backdrop of a devastating, if not useless, civil war. It highlights the ridiculousness of our trio’s endeavour in the grand scheme of things, setting up the most incredible set pieces and poignant segments, building this grand odyssey across the Wild West.

Ennio Morricone’s score is genuinely just the nuts, it’s my favourite of all time. It just goes so incredibly fucking hard for no reason. Tuco be running around a graveyard and he’s just blasting the hardest piece of score I’ve heard in my life, it’s insane - like a complete high in of itself.

The core three are all so good here, obviously having to dub their lines after shooting is gonna have its weird moments lip sync-wise, but they all do a good job considering, fairing much better than supporting cast. Clint Eastwood is just that guy though, aura farms with ease.

Just a complete all-timer for me. I think it’s perfect. My first time seeing Arrow Video’s 4K remastered rand it’s like seeing it fresh for the first time. Fantastic!
