Book was better, but still good

The movie is nothing like the book. The first half of the movie seems way too rushed and you miss so much important information when it is set this way. I don’t recommend watching this film, especially if you’re a fan of the book (don’t want to ruin your fandom, do you?)

The book was so much better and I was so excited for this film. The cast was phenomenal and did great, The cinematography and editing was great but they tried to cram too much into the one movie with not enough time and left out many important details. Wish it was better. 4/10 😕

I know books and movies are supposed to be very different, but wow this is by far one of the worst, next to the Percy Jackson and Avatar the Last Airbender movies. Definitely recommend giving the series a read, the stories are beautiful and brings various POVs together.

A small movie with big ideas about individual freedoms, memory, traditions and customs. Important themes one and all, but they're wrapped in a movie that does not do them justice.
