The Equalizer 2

Brutal action, a compelling plot and an exceptional final act. Denzel Washington is back and as ruthless as ever as Robert McCall, with some definite underrated acting. Pedro Pascal, one of my favourite actors right now, is a new addition to the series which I love. 3rd watch.

Je préfère largement le premier pour l’instant 🙂

I cried

Decent movie. Good action and twist

Rated: 6.7/10 ⭐️

I wanted to watch a gritty Denzel flick for the original’s 12th anniversary. I like this; it gets kinda messy, but seeing Denzel dish out justice is super satisfying.

What Worked:
• Denzel’s quiet, intense energy honestly carries the movie for me.
• Pascal brings a really compelling, personal betrayal angle.
• The final hurricane town showdown is ridiculously creative and wild.

The Friction:
• The pacing kinda dragged early on with disconnected side quests.
• The villains lacked the scary, heavy weight of the first movie.
• Some storm CGI looked a bit rubbery and pulled me out of it.

Verdict:
I like this. Watch for brutal Denzel action. Skip if slow first halves annoy you.
