so freaking good, it was absolutely terrifying, the jumpscares were so well done and they got me, just the premise alone is scary but adding those horrifying creatures into the mix makes it even worse… i liked the group of friends too except for juno, all my homies hate juno

I'm actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. It has a good mixture of creature feature, world fears and internal drama that turn what initially feels like a basic plot into something engaging and scary. The action sequences had really rough camerawork, but great movie

Absolutely horrifying. Brings the history and darkness of Appalachia into full view and leaves you with a tinge of fear at every dark inset you drive by on the cliffside.

Would be better if it relied only on "real-life" scenarios and possibilities. The fear of the dark tight spaces would have been plenty! Keeps you feeling claustrophobic for sure!
