so slow and was rlly hard to get into. i'm not huge with older movies i only like very few mostly from childhood and idk. i didn't pay too much attention to it either i'll have to come back and watch it again and actually pay full attention to it.

by far the best speilberg movie. i cried so much during that ending. the cinematography was beautiful, and for whoopi goldbergs first ever role, that was extremely good. Never been a fan of whoopi because of her personal views but I can't deny the great performance

I just remember as a kid I didn't like this movie but as an adult now I love it the reason why I didn't like it was because it was to long 😂 so reason hey 😂

Inspiring, heartbreaking at times, protagonist survives an incredible amount of abuse and bigotry.

Loved the book so knew I’d love this. Had me crying at the end. Takes you on such a journey. Whoopi was amazing

epic sad sad movie

A story of resilience and love. In the 80s, it was rare to find stories that captured pain, redemption, and peace from a Black perspective, yet it was done so eloquently that it could be understood on a universal scale. The casting, music, and directing were phenomenal. #Classic

This was actually a lot better than I expected. I thought this was going to be pretty good but it’s legitimately one of Spielberg’s best films.
