didn’t know it was a prequel to the first cloverfield until my husband told me after i finished it and it makes so much sense.
they opened a portal for the aliens with the shepherd and that’s why the aliens were on earth in the first one

The monster tease at the end was unsatisfying ngl

“Jumped the shark”? Na, from now on it should be “got a clue from the arm”. One of those movies where the logic crumbles when you think about it.

The end of the movie is the coolest part so I wish we had gotten more of that, but I still enjoyed it more than I thought I would

This movie just barely makes “meh” for me. The premise is very interesting and I really like seeing Gugu Mbatha-Raw act, but the execution was almost disappointing. The way they used the parallel dimension concept fell flat for the most part and the ending did not deliver.

Very confusing but a good ride

6/10 it’s just very forgettable, sets up a great film is the only really I watch it
