The Cleansing Hour Reviews

the beginning of this movie would have you believe it’s just a cheap, lame horror film but once it gets going, it surprises you
it’s not the best movie ever but it does what it can and delivers a good demon-possessed time with a modern twist and some fun effects

Garbo

The tone is a bit all over the place but the idea is fresh, the acting is solid, and the effects are great. The initial “big reveal” is pretty obvious but then there is an unhinged twist that takes it off the rails. One of the better Shudder Originals.

A new favorite. It definitely had its flaws but overall a fun watch.

Not really scary, but it was a fun watch! A few scenes were disturbing, but other than that it was a bit cheesy with a predictable ending. Still, enjoyable, and I’d probably watch it again with friends.

Entertaining enough for the runtime! Some splashy evil dead-style moments. Gotta lay bare your sins & get views no matter what harm it may do; it’s all about the blue checkmark in the age of religious hucksters.

85/100 another 2nd watch for me . Ya gotta do what ya gotta do for the clicks

Dude is a straight tool at the end. I would have given it a like if not for that.

Silly and fun

WAS LOWKEY UNEXPECTED!! kyle gallner lowkey carried and the twist at the end was good. the sfx was honestly giving 2000s horror

wow

Talk about a stupid ending plot twist, the friend and the wife dating years before and the fiancé his pissed because tension. Shudder should be held to higher standards, this looks cheap, barely saved by the acting which still could be better. The devil is a nerd and that I like.

Not just a love but a need. I needed this movie. I feel like I’ve seen everything n this hit the spot perfectly. My gf and I agree this is probably the best movie on shudder currently. 20/10 soooo good

This was fun, different. I wouldn’t call it scary but unique & entertaining 💯.

It was ok, I liked the narrative, the actings

Kyle Gallner very hot good movie

Way better than expected. Predictable but good acting and production value.
