The Blob

For it’s time it’s really a great horror movie. It’s self aware at points that the situation is insane and for once the cops actually listen to the characters when they say there’s something going on. “Doctor, I’m afraid!”, always has me dying laughing.

5/10: Very charming and the practical effects are really cool, but the human plots are uninteresting, characters act extremely dumb and you’re better off watching the superior remake from 1988

5/10 it’s got some old fashioned charm but there are so many continuity errors and at the end of the day, the movie is just very outdated. i’d like to see that blob try and catch me

A catchy theme song, Steve McQueen as the oldest looking teenager ever, and a small town being attacked by an alien. What more could you want?

8.5/10 the movie’s 2nd Act is surprisingly captivating.
