The Aviator

Scorsese gives us a lot more than the Charles Foster Kane of the clouds. He keeps focus on Hughes, the dreamer, who continually reached out, grabbed the future and pulled it toward him.

Great lighting and cinematography from Martin Scorsese, especially in the first scene. Fantastic performance as well from Leo DiCaprio, and a star studded supporting cast.

May easily beat another favorite, Shutter Island.

La mise en scène de ce film est plus que significative, elle est le reflet de Hughes. Sa folie, ses tocs, ses ambitions, ses souffrances, ses espoirs, on est transporté dans son esprit. Mais je trouves parfois certains passages peu claire et l'histoire est parfois plate

too long and boring. Thought Leo was solid, def a lot better as he got older. The story itself isn’t too interesting unless you’re into old planes and old hollywood
