Tetris

Started out amazing. Loved the incorporation video game jokes and some fun animation effects overlaid over the real world. The middle devolves into a Russian policy caper that slows down, but it does stick the ending to ensure this is a good watch—and informative too.

Video games + entrepreneurship + 8 bit animations/audio is a dream combo for me. Beginning is awesome and there’s a bit of a lull in the middle (hence a like and not a love) and finished really strong. Strong rec for my fellow gamers 🕹️👾🎮

Taron Egerton is such an underrated actor, expected a light hearted movie about an old video game but got a lesson on the Soviet regime. Really enjoyed the video game graphics throughout👾

10/10 Great Story, love a good based on a true story. Phenomenal execution to a video game and the steps it had to go through. Not only did it feel good watching, but gave a bit of nostalgia and used the music as well as the VFX correctly when it needed to.

The acting on all fronts were superb as well as the directing, lighting, camera work which all worked well to tell the story how it was meant to be told.

Recommend it to anyone who needs to see something more than themselves in the characters. Something to see the bigger picture about what it takes to do the right thing and persist on something you truly believe.
