Easily the weakest of the Terminator movies in my opinion. The plot is garbage and all the place and the script is awful. Armies ok and Emilia Clarke is decent but Jai Courtney is terrible. Theirs it’s if action and some of it incredible but no heart. Hollow stuff

It is a return, of sorts, to the 1984 original, unnecessarily complicated by so many time twists and wraps that even a ardent fan of the franchise must admit reluctantly that its future is behind it.

The absolute irony of Paramount being the ones to buy out this franchise... "Remember, Skydance is Skynet." Anyway, it's pretty bad, but the action, or hand-to-hand combat, is, as always, a good time. Especially with Schwarzenegger, who has nailed the act to perfection. The worst part about this film is the casting, and it's unfortunate to say because I like them all individually. Just not in this world or as these specific characters. Everything else is okay, just very mediocrely done. I'd give it a 4/10. 5/10 had it been rated R.

Arnold's smiling scenes were the best.

See how they misspelled Genesis in the very title? Let that be a strong warning and indication of the blank, hollow imagination and effort that went into this film. Jai Courtney has as much charisma as a toilet seat as Kyle Reese. This is not the future my mother warned me about!

Their first mistake was thinking they could make Terminator PG-13 and it’d actually be good

The effects were alright at moments, other times lacking

This was a good take on “what if John Connor went bad”. Arnold was solid as always and the casting was really good

I mean.. the acting was not too shabby, and the plot was also okayish, I just like it because it's a terminator movie with a basic plot, the ending was good all in all

the scene with Hans Zimmer's music made me bawl my eyes out.

While the alternate timeline idea is bold, it’s poorly structured and emotionally shallow. It feels more like a franchise reboot experiment than a meaningful continuation of the story. I hate the decision to turn John into a villain. He was always the symbol worth protecting.

6/10 wasn’t as bad as I remembered it being. The alternative time line was funky. Enjoyed seeing all the classic terminator models at the start of the film best

6/10 I liked Guardian a lot and the timeline stuff was interesting. Emilia Clarke did as well as she could trying to measure up to Linda Hamilton’s portrayal. I didn’t like John Connor’s character at all.

Love how Kyle Reece starts throwing hands with John the moment he finds out he’s his father lol I’m a big fan of Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke and I love the nods to the original
