The first hour is SUPER slow. Very confusing at first, but it definitely picks up in the second half. Cate Blanchett gave an incredible performance. I can see how it would be more enjoyable if you are a classical music fan, but it was still a good story

apparently this isnt a biopic as i thought lol.

maybe im just dense, but i didn't know what the heck was happening or being said for about 90% of the movie. was way too long for whatever it was trying to be, but it had its moments.

also cate blanchett was giving ellen pomeo

Expected way more. Honestly just disappointed that the movie was so plain. The whole movie I was expecting something big to happen and that never came. A very specific audience is going to like this but at least for me was boring af. 🤧

I couldn’t make it through but my wife did. She liked it, I disliked it, so I’m giving it a “meh”. Wayyy too slow for me. Don’t even care if the 2nd half picked up at all. Not worth it.

just wow… written by someone who is truly passionate about music, immersive atmosphere and storytelling with an unreliable narrator; incredibly shot (scenes in one take are amazing); and cate… long live the queen!
