look I didn’t quite get the point of the movie, other than dakota looks really good with red hair and mia goth is my favorite person in the world I love her, she looks so beautiful and her clothes are amazing

a brilliant remake. a *realistic* interpretation of the original. an intelligent, beautiful, and gory contemplation of fascism within spirituality and womanhood <3

Suspiria is more than a witchy thriller; it’s an art piece on war. Engaging cinematography & a great soundtrack. Guadagnino (CMBYN) does a brilliant job at depicting an era & aside from some pacing issues, Suspiria maintains suspense & intrigue. He also snuck a love story in!

dope visuals but the plot was full of unnecessary info that didn’t quite get tied together (i understood why it was included but it seemed like they didn’t see it to fruition), the climax/ending seemed rushed, & they either should’ve condensed or expanded on parts of the story.

i have no idea how i feel. wanted to love it. nothing like the OG - 3/10. if you view it as a standalone story, it’s a 6/10 but even then, 50% of the storyline was useless and irrelevant to the overall plot. camera & music choices in the climax sucked and stuck out. a mess.

not often is a remake as imaginative or ground breaking as the original, thus is one of very few exceptions
