Me and the movie I was obsessed with when I was ten against the world

Brandon Routh was actually decent, and this film isn’t bad at all. People are just over critical of new takes in film, because the old ones are “better”. They are mostly, but this movie/actors did not deserve as much hate.

Apart from Star Wars, objectively the sequels suck.

Rewatched on ITV1, entertaining, but, prefer Christopher Reeve, liked Spacey as Lex Luther 👏

It was a fine Superman movie. Brandon Routh is a really good Clark Kent/Superman. But the look, pacing, and story left a little to be desired. Definitely a comfort movie, but not the best Superman film ever made. I will say, I enjoyed it far better than the James Gunn Superman.

watched it a couple months ago bc i used to love this movie as a little kid. not as good as i remember it. was sooooo slow and boring icl😂😂😂

For some reason I couldn’t get behind this one.
It was trying to be a Reeves Superman copycat rather than a continuation of the story.
Superman comes off kinda creepy in this movie, multiple scenes are just him stalking Lois.
The actor who played Lois was great but it felt weird because she looked way younger than the 1978 one.
The recycled the Lex creating a new land mass for real estate plot which came off an unoriginal to me.
This movie is fine but I wouldn’t watch again.

Longer than it needs to be. But some of these scenes are so iconic to the character of Superman I cannot help but praise them. The plane, the bullet, fun dialogue. Just came out at a time where everyone wanted to be edgier and it shows. Brandon Routh though was just not the best.

Routh’s Superman has major Zac Efron as Troy Bolton energy. Lex has never been more insane than having a pool table on his BOAT. Story doesn’t earn its runtime. Why did they make this a follow up of Superman II but ignore the others???

I said it before and I’ll say it again, Brandon Routh is such an underrated casting for Superman.

definitely a little overhated, quite a solid superhero film that has its fair share of strengths and weaknesses. occasionally stunning yet sometimes lackluster visuals, strong performances with a fine story, definitely entertaining albeit a bit long. superman fans will enjoy

that’s my fav superman, Henry was quite good too, but I prefer Brandon.

No matter how much they try to hide the truth, that kid is going to figure it out.
