First 30ish minutes has some good moments but man this is filled with some brutal shit. “Nuclearman” has gotta be the worst movie villain of all time and the whole plot line of Clark Kent/Superman trying to juggle 2 different romances just doesn’t work at all.

It’s rough but has an admirable core message about peace and responsibility. Christopher Reeve remains the heart of the movie, elevating weaker material. It’s flawed but earnest, giving Superman a chance to address real-world concerns.
