Way better then the original release. Much more inline with superman 1. Funny how superman directors always have studio meddling with their visions.

Lois isn't as horny in this version, but she's still fucking insane

My preferred version, even if it does have some rough edits here and there. It feels much more genuine regarding Lois and Clark’s relationship and able to show the emotional conflict without Reeve and Kidder overacting.

Definitely better than the first. Still very old, but great. 7.6/10

Now, I haven’t seen the theatrical cut in years, so I may prefer that. But having watched this right after the first truly makes this even better, would definitely suggest to watch this if you loved the more serious tone of the first.

It’s nice for Mr. Donner to have his cut out in the open, but the movie still has its problems of its own. And to think that for so many years this was the best movie of Superman, unbelievable.

The finale to the reeve generation does not disappoint it has a couple of changes here and there watch this before the theatrical so it’s easier to watch on time or to save like 30 minutes of your time overall it’s just as good as superman 2 just shorter 9/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Obviously not as good as the first but still good! Def worth watching despite its age and some of the campiness from the era. Donner Cut is a must for this one.
