I got teary eyed multiple times. For 2 reasons. 1: Getting to see the symbol of hope that is superman. I personally have never been a superman girl but this movie made me fall in love. What he stands for and the optimism he brings to the lives of the characters and viewers (2)

Possibly the most overrated super hero movie ever. Music - Obnoxiously repetitive.
Writing - Horribly cliche.
Scenes - Slapped together with no cohesion.
Costumes - Without any effort whatsoever.
Emotional Impact - Zero investment.

Only good thing was theming. Free Palestine.

i expected to enjoy this movie very much, it lived up to expectations. Everything about it was quite well done, especially the casting. The way it was made looked like it didn't take itslef too seriously while still giving a good and moving story, it was just good

The studio heads at Marvel need to study this film, and since I'm very aware of James Gunn's filmography, I know most of it stems from him. Sure, it's not a perfect film, but comparing this to the multiple projects we've had from both Marvel and especially DC, this and "The Batman" clear almost the entire catalogue. Beneath its captivating exterior of choreography, cinematography, costumes, colours, casting, soundtrack, and effects lies a powerful core of genuine emotional depth, authentic character dynamics, realistic storytelling, and striking scriptwriting. It refreshingly captures the contrast between the hopeful, comic-like mind of a child and the nostalgic, anxiety-ridden perspective of an adult, all while maintaining character development, tension, pacing, and respect for the source material. I am so ready for more.

Weak, “I want a lame Superman with crappy costume, that gets beaten up by everything except kryptonite”. Such a bad movie, I want comic book accurate. Wouldn’t ever watch again and wouldn’t suggest anybody else to. Go watch man of steel bc it’s way way better

If you are looking for a film that doesn’t take itself seriously and is kinda fun and ridiculous this is probably a good film for you. The writing isn’t that good and Superman himself is beaten up on and whines constantly through the film. Not a great portrayal of the character.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. A great start to a fantastical DC universe. They perfectly captured what/who Superman is supposed to be as well as the hater who hates in Lex Luthor. David Corenswet was a great Boy Scout, distinguishing himself from other Supermen. 8.5/10

i feel like henry is better superman than david, although he is very good looking.

this lois (rachel) is better than amy (sorry not sorry).

lex was kinda uncomfortable to watch.

9/10 rewatch on the big screen and the time flow by, enjoyed the opening sequence (great way to kick start with a quick run down then straight into the action), love the Dog. A must watch on the big screen. Defo recommended.

I had high hopes for this movie and in my opinion it definitely lived up to them. I loved the cinematography / choreography for a lot of the scenes, especially the fight in the stadium.

I heard beforehand about the movie portraying some political themes but I can’t say I expected it to be that glaringly obvious. It was a great watch and I definitely loved it.

8.3 - My rating holds on rewatch.

It’s still overstuffed with storylines but I will give it credit for making all of the storylines mesh decently and actually having a reasonably tight script.

Where Gunn needs more credit than anything is his ability to pick his soundtracks. Never misses.

HES BACK!! David Corenswet is Clark Kent/Superman. Nicholas Holt plays Lex phenomenally.
I was smiling and geeking out the whole movie like a kid. It has a few issues but I can over look them, I’m so excited to see where DC Studios has going forward.
