Cant say it holds up too well. Christopher Reeves is a good superman tho

I thought it was Tom welling, but maybe it’s just Superman that does it for me.

the first part was boring trying to introduce the superman of christopher reeves but later was so good doing a superman that reflects happiness and hope to the people like IT SHOULD BE, rn i understand why people praise sm the superman of christopher, he is so iconic 9/10

the first half of the movie it’s so boring please go straight to the point or at least do a faster intro for the character anyways christopher reeve was on point in this first appearance of superman

Longo demais sem necessidade… varias cenas poderiam ter sido cortadas e outras melhor explicadas… não chega a ser ruim e tem cenas classicas, mas pra quem não é fa de filmes de super herois, n achei q valeu tanto assim… 6/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been so long since ive watched an old film and i forgot it takes an old movie forever to start a movie and will take million years for the introduction of the whole cast. But Reeves is so attractive hes literally perfect for this role.

so summer-night coded

This is the Superman from my childhood. There was also the Super Friends, but a movie feels real. Big fan, there have been great Supermen to follow but Christopher Reeves looked the part back where hero’s were on cartoons and tv.

I’ve seen the Donner cut and it closes some holes for me, watch if you haven’t. Lois Lane is more observant. I won’t ruin it.

Superman is about hope, about the sometimes nieve way we can see the world more beautiful than it may be and justice as in the baddies get their comeuppance more readily than it is in the grown up world of real life. Hope.

Great cast and Superman. It’s a great story. Give it a watch if you have the time, I’m sure most people would like it. ☄️ 2026

What a movie I love superhero movies but the one that basically made the genre popular is the best everything about this movie is just perfection it nailed everything superman is incredible the side cast is great and it can’t be topped 10/10 MASTERPIECE

Some scenes look super dated but that doesn’t take away from this being an amazing movie.
The John Williams Score is on a different level.
The opening scene on Krypton and the scene in the Earths crust look insanely dated but I was actually super impressed with the rest of the movie.
Great introduction to Superman.
Lex Luther in this was a good villain, definitely pure evil, but his plan and his actions don’t respect his self proclaimed 200+ IQ.
Had a blast with this movie even if it is a tad bit too long.

first 45 minutes i really didn’t enjoy but i can appreciate how this is a classic and how the practical affects are done is awesome but it was just alright

i didnt realise that was lex luthor because he wasn’t bald 8/10

This was made in the 70s, and it really shows, and not just in the video quality. So much doesn’t even make sense. I can understand why people who grew up with this movie remember it fondly but it does not hold up.
