Sunshine

Oh, how I wish this was in the Alien franchise, they missed out by not hiring Boyle and Garland. I say that because it starts as grounded, keeping its realistic roots to several certain points in the film. Every time it unexpectedly became unexpected, I took a shock of electricity and bounced back into the journey. The casting was ahead of its time as nearly every single actor is making headlines, to this day. I saw plenty of past space films shining through this, into future space films. Ahead of its time, yet still flawed as everything is. Immense visuals, intense sounds, and a striking story.

Have you ever watched a sci-fi thriller? If you haven't, then I wouldn't recommend watching this movie. I believe this movie had potential at the beginning, but later on, it got really weird, and a lot of unnecessary things happened, and even the cast didn't save the film.

If you like stunning space visuals then this is the movie for you. Sunshine takes a unique approach to the space opera genre as it implements religious themes and a seemingly other worldly power that leaves the viewer wondering what forces are at play.A space lovers paradise

This was a stunning watch. I was a little confused with the plot “twist” but from research, it was meant to be “Sunshine ends not by explaining how humanity saves the Sun, but by asking whether we’re willing to sacrifice ourselves — without certainty — to keep the light alive.”

Cool sci-fi concept but everything else is severely lacking. The antagonist doesn’t show up until the last 30 minutes, and there is minimal character development as it’s split between 7 people. Idk just kind of a forgettable interstellar/event horizon lite mash up
