Best silent film I’ve seen so far

Wild-ass story, this man needs psychiatric help, and I’m pretty sure the city woman is a witch.

Good romance! If I was the girl I wouldn’t forgive what the guy tried to do but whatever. Some scenes stood out to me like the statue,dancing, and storm scenes. I enjoyed those scenes the most

Entertaining and uses beautiful film techniques. I enjoy silent films but they often require a lot of effort on my part to stay focused. However, this one held my attention just as much as any film today. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Such an intriguing movie, artfully done, groundbreaking for its time, and it still holds up today. The plot wastes no time, and you are thrust into a touching love story, that is powerful and fiercely brilliant.

watched it for class, but WOW what a masterpiece. the camera seems light as a feather.

watched at my history of the american motion picture class it was quite entertaining def not something i would expect from a silent movie

Early cinema storytelling that seemingly would only come from decades of studying the craft. Pure chemistry and heartfelt performances. Romance movies today can only dream of coming close to this masterpiece. The bar was set incredibly high.
