when i saw advertising for this movie, it seemed to be promoting the very thing it’s actually critical of, the sexualisation of women, especially in fantasy and action while dressing them up in impractical outfits.

while i totally get the critiques for this movie, i appreciate what it was trying to do. it’s a dark story that isn’t very empowering but shows disassociating in a creative way that allows the characters to have their own agency and power in a fantasy world, even if it doesn’t matter in the end due to the harsh reality of the oppression and abuse that they face.

i dont understand why people hate this movie so much. in my loved movies for the aesthetic and fights alone. 9/10

Oscar Isaac was hot but that’s really the only reason I would consider watching it again

I really don’t understand the hate for this movie. I saw it at a young age and now have watched it over 20 times and it never gets old. The action was so ahead of it’s time and I just love this movie. This is on my all time favorites list. Please watch it if you love pure action!

we need to start a dialogue about vanessa hudgens filmography like she’s seriously one of the most important actors of our gen. this movie actually had me gagged in every aspect i didn’t realize zack snyder had it in him

Emily Browning was so convincing playing Babydoll, giving a stellar performance. The historical time periods & alternate worlds was amazing. The over sexualization is part of the plot-and an important plot point as well, not just there for eye candy.

It has a great soundtrack as well

Wow. Okay I thought it was an edgier cool girl boss movie before watching it. And it is but also massively psychological and a lot darker. The people who get it get it and if you dont get it then it’s not for you. BUT it’s is a GOOD MOVIE it doesn’t deserve the hate

I'd give it a meh but the aesthetic is really captivating + the movie haa a good message. I skipped all the fight scenes. I understand its her coping mechanism but still irrelevant in the movie. I loved the details the audience has to catch to shape what really happened irl.

Revisited this now that I’m in my 20s, and I have a better understanding/appreciation for it that my younger self was immediately put off from. The casting is spot-on and the story (though a bit confusing) is intriguing, action-packed. Plus the soundtrack is killer!! 🔥

didn’t even make it through the whole thing it was so odd, not even half way in, it had a disturbing and disgusting scene. i don’t condone any movie that has/almost has a rape scene it’s just odd and to much. i hate it. it seemed like it would be a great plot but could have been

confusing af!! they tried to play a lot of mind games in order to send a msg but it just ended up condoning all the bad things

Basically it’s Alice: Madness Returns in movie form, but with more sexy girls and guns

Love it it has such a deeper meaning about womanhood and staying together, and I love the reality splits, and the definition of power and freedom and the ending was just so good

this was so edgey and cool asf but i absolutely hated the ending😭😭

Loved the 4 different alternate reality missions they were on….Bad ass ladies!
