Sucker Punch

when i saw advertising for this movie, it seemed to be promoting the very thing it’s actually critical of, the sexualisation of women, especially in fantasy and action while dressing them up in impractical outfits.

while i totally get the critiques for this movie, i appreciate what it was trying to do. it’s a dark story that isn’t very empowering but shows disassociating in a creative way that allows the characters to have their own agency and power in a fantasy world, even if it doesn’t matter in the end due to the harsh reality of the oppression and abuse that they face.

The ending was good but VERY unexpected. I truly thought all girls would make it at the end. Fuck Blondie. I knew she would be a snitch, i could tell from the beginning that she would not be truth worthy. Thank god Dr Vera and the guards found Blue's doing weird asf at the end.
