Strange Darling Reviews

Go in knowing nothing. Nothing at all. This was so great and kept me on the edge of my seat.

This was very good. Great twist. Had me hanging my mouth in shock multiple times. Quite an artsy project, visually. Great acting and story. I felt it was a little slow in the beginning, but once things got going I was very interested.

Stupid and boring with a very lacklustre conclusion. The movie uses a non linear way of storytelling to trick viewers into think that there is any suspense. A very colourful and beautifully shot waste of time.

This movie is captivating and definitely Tarantino-esque, delivering a thrilling, roller coaster that breathes new life into the classic cat + mouse killer vs final girl trope. The film's use of 35 mm film gives it a visually stunning and vintage feel. The BEST looking thriller!

This was a movie that I watched.

gah damn, easily the most visually stunning thriller i’ve ever watched. cinematography & composition is phenomenal, that 35mm film SMACKS. a little soft on the focus pulling but fuck still so beautiful. did not expect this to be so good, it’s so well told, the script is bonkers, a fat bucket of plot twist, the score is unique & powerful which i love. sound design & production design stellar. the color pallet is bananas, that film glow hits so fucking hard. willa & kyle’s outperformed. what a duo. definitely not a film for everyone, but sure as hell for me. 8.8 / 10

the back and forth between the "chapters" of the story didn't like it, just play it through man. this is based on a true story. and it is totally messed up!!!

Maybe it should have been a meh instead of a dislike, but this movie disappointed me so much. I had really high expectations because of the hype around the movie and the twist. The twist was boring, it didn't feel shocking at all.

i have no words for this movie.
i have never seen anything like it.

Goddamn non-linear storytelling, it gets me every time! WILLAAAAAAA😫😫😫 she absolutely DEVOURED this role. I love her so goddamn much. Thank god they made it ethically possible for me to lust after Kyle Gallner. This movie was gorgeous, intense, well-paced, everything. 100/10🔥🔥🔥

This flips the horror flick genre on it’s head and I’m here for it! Wow!

to put it eloquently: this movie is shit from a butt.

This is the most unusual serial killer of all time.
The twist is out of this world!
Kudos to the writer and the director.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I’m gonna give this a strong 5/10, I did really enjoy all the twists and out-of-order storytelling, and the color, cinematography, and action were all standouts. However, I just feel like I won’t remember this movie in T minus 1 Day… yeah, already forgot.

One of my favs of the year ……. The way it was shot was awesome , the way the story was told was unique and had you on edge of seat …… great acting also a must watch
