Had the privilege of watching this one early. I was not expecting to enjoy a film revolving around a spider but I was pleasantly surprised. Fun story with characters that each serve a purpose along with a great performance by the little girl. I hope folks give this one a chance!

I paid to watch a movie about a giant spider killing people, and I got a movie about a giant spider killing people. Lots of cool scares and a brisk pace make this an easy watch for horror fans. It's not amazing, but it delivers on what it is selling. A solid 6/10, could probably wait for streaming.

A movie that should have been as easy as spider killing people gets dragged through the most boring set of characters — even the character whose whole purpose was clearly comedic relief felt stale

The only reason i’m not disliking this movie is because every scene that incorporated the spider were great but they ironically got caught in a web of unnecessary scenes and stale characters

3.5 - Stronger premise than performance. Reasonably creepy first half with big(ish) spider hunting trapped families, before it loses the thread.
Feels way longer than it is, and is much too dark visually. Neither scary nor silly enough to be truly enjoyable.

A poorly-paced and toned Monster Movie with its influences wrapped in its webs.

Saw this one in a sneak preview, so quite unexpected. To be fair, I am neither a fan of Horror movies, nor of spiders 😅 if you enjoy both then this your movie. Tension was always high and I could feel the characters fear.

found myself more interested in the family drama than the spider itself

in the beginning it was pretty boring, but as time went on, it kind of got interesting. I can understand why she took care of the spider in that way, cuz her parents are neglecting her. she is pretty alone most of the time. Glad the spider died.

It was pretty good. The family drama gave some depth which I can’t decide if that’s good or bad. But overall I enjoyed the film. Hoping if they do a sequel it will be bigger.

I loved the grandma in this and I wanted the humor to be all throughout the movie. It was slow, constant arguing, and nothing that exciting. It was also so dark I could barely see what was happening half the time!

Got to preview this with a special from AMC was terrifying, thrilling and good story line. Having phobia spiders didn’t help but even without it will absolutely scare you to the bone!

saw this as an AMC scream unseen and I enjoyed it

Cool cold open followed by a fun title sequence. Charlotte is adorable albeit annoying. I'm not arachnophobic, but a giant spider is a giant no-no. Film is uninterested in creating actual characters, relying instead on archetypes, getting really stupid — but in a kind of fun way.

I thought it was going to be so much worse than it was. So I was pleasantly surprised.
