Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Reviews

It was good, nothing bad, again, cinematography improved so much, this was honestly a pretty decent end to the story (technically), and I personally LOVED that in the end the two ships fired upon the clocked one, I just wish we got more of that throughout the story, it was cool

Beautiful way to move the original casts stories forward while closing the chapter on them. Also a perfectly timed reflection of the end of the Cold War.

2024 Rewatch (Theatrical Cut):
Excellent, tense, cerebal Trek political thriller that doesn't let up & keeps you glued to the screen. Great music, visuals, editing, scope, and perfect character study for Kirk. The dinner party scene is a standout. Awesome swan song for the crew.

Highly underestimated, and a bit forgotten in the Star Trek universe. As for the Kirk franchise movies, probably the second best after Khan

8.5/10 “We’re both extremists, reality is probably somewhere in between” the fact that Kirk and Spock said “you were right” about each other was so real of them. Just got done CRYING MY EYES OUT I hate that this was goodbye but it was such a perfect and beautiful send off.

I’m a fan of all of the Star Trek films, I think that they are a great looking films for what are now over 40 years old and both the acting and casting continues to be excellent. I think the story line could’ve been more interesting.
