Star Trek Into Darkness Reviews

7/10

I like Cumberbatch

Star Trek Into Darkness: ❌
Star Trek Into Lens Flare: ✅

I gotta give it a "love," like the story had more plot twists than...I don't even know.
Khan was, yeah, now THIS is Khan, the one in the originals was cool, but this was menacing, a real BAD guy.
Other than that I appreciated that we got some losses, and new characters

I think it had an overall good plot to it. Benedict Cumberbatch was amazing in this role. I think he plays a much better villain than a hero. “Into Darkness” doesn’t seem to be the correct title for this one, I think they could’ve done something more correlated to the plot.

GENUINELY ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Felt like this movie never had time to breathe. A jumbled and not so fresh story. Just has some plot and character issues that keep it from being great. I think it’s funny that Cumberbatch is either the making or breaking point depending on the critic.

I love all these new star treks
I wish there were more

I know they just brought Khan into this movie to get people like myself, all nostalgic for the older movies, and it worked. I’m not going to compare to the Wrath of Khan. They are different movies from different times and do not compare.

Cumberbatch did a great job as Khan. He was singularly focused on his goal, had no mercy and was brilliant. I love Simon Peggs Scotty, I can see the parallel and maybe understand the character more. Great cast and they were good in the previous movie.

It was action packed, brought Star Trek troupes with the material and it was entertaining. If you like Star Trek or any movie with Star in the name, I think it’s a watch. You do not have to have seen any previous Star Trek to enjoin this movie. I’ve seen it before and I’ll see it again. If you are the kind that likes to look into a future and boldly go where no one has gone before, this is a watch. 🖖 Live Long and Prosper. ✨

i mean it literally was wrath of khan but i loved the role reversal in this one 😭

Top 3 favorite movie.

TRIPLE IT AND GIVE IT TO ME. 8.3/10

Action-packed, dark, and ambitious. Cumberbatch brings intensity as Khan and the story raises tough questions.
