Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams Reviews

I love this movie! It’s so great and really funny. They did a great job with it, and the acting/chemistry between actors was really good. I loved their family dynamic, and I thought they were all very funny. The plot is entertaining. I have seen this many times; childhood movie!

Better than I would have ever thought to have made it. The continuity was smooth, it brings the good qualities of the first, twists it and blasts it. From the special effects to the locations, everything feels so comfortable. The sibling bond just gets better, and the additional characters have so much presence. That whole volcano scene with the one and only Steve Buscemi was iconic. As a kid, I could not believe my eyes and I still get thrown into a state of amazement for how lucky I was to see this as a kid. 100% without a doubt is a reason to why I'm so creative now.

I loved this movie even more than the first, I can’t even fathom how many times I must have rewatched this as a kid!

yes this film was like a fever dream, and a good one at that. loved it

A guilty pleasure movie as a kid - even then I could tell it was not particularly high quality. The CGI, acting, writing, etc. are all quite abysmal. But I had fun with it and found it cool. Would I still like it now? Probably not, but some nostalgic things might make me smirk.
