Very tough topic, but amazing cast and well done movie. Also important to know that the Church has put safeguards in place to try to prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future. Definitely overdue.

Was forced to watch this for school and it was painful. We had to analyze the whole movie which made the experience even worse especially since the movie was already so uninteresting.

Idk how I didn’t know about this with the stacked cast. Really moving and done well. Thanks for shedding light these horrific acts and journalist behind the story. mark ruffalo was outstanding performance.

Liked it but frustrating to watch because of what happened. F’ed up world. Not sure how to make a movie like this more “exciting” because it’s so grim. Wouldn’t want it to be.

Well done movie about an awful cover up.

“If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to abuse one.”

A film that left me literally breathless.

The movie takes no time to immediately jump into the story from the opening scene and has razor-sharp pacing from start to finish. At over 2 hours, this dramatic retelling of a true story reads as a heart-pounding thriller. Some of the highest quality of filmmaking that rightfully takes a backseat in this case to the heart wrenching true story of abuse.

The film is fantastic. The writing and acting are award-worthy. But what really deserves attention is the horrific abuse of children and all of those in power who decided to look the other way, if not cash in on covering it up. I have so rarely been so disgusted and irate at the actions being portrayed on screen.

It’s hard to put into words the impact of this film. For many, myself included, it’s a story you know the highlights of. But seeing it told in such detail and with such phenomenal performances makes it feel so visceral and real.

This is a film with true cultural and historical impact. And I’m in awe of all those who came together to release the original story, and those who brought it to the screen.

An amazing biopic about the Catholic Church and its widespread illegal and disturbing scandals that were covered up until the Boston Globe investigations. The cast and crew brought this story to life with incredible performances and narrative. Highly recommend.

Really good movie! As someone studying journalism, gave great insight into what it’s like to practice journalistic integrity

A gripping but very grounded journalism story. The investigation slowly pulls you in, and the performances feel natural and real. The quiet atmosphere and simple cinematography make the revelations hit even harder. Shore’s piano is beautifully haunting, too. What a bunch of pigs🐷
