The first part of the film is EXCELLENT. Jackson and Hoffman's performances are incredibly good and the atmosphere of "paranoia" that is created is awesome! The first part gets a 10 in terms of direction. The characters overcome their fears and limits and take a lot of risks. Many questions are raised about the origin of the ship, their fate and what might be there while we also have the first death. You say, great, now in addition to drama, we will also have a little action. Unfortunately, the second part lost a lot. A cheap ending that is like we erase everything and move on (and hey guys, those who left us what? How exactly will you justify it? ). They also made an unnecessary romance with the characters of Stone and Hoffman and the climax came when they simply do not know how to handle their powers.
As an idea (also based on a book) very good, execution good at first then unfortunately not so much, effects mediocre and the performances good to the point where the script doesn't help them anymore.
5/10 because unfortunately there is a bad ending.
