To the loser spamming my reviews: get a life and stop being racist.

Not only was this movie slow and not scary in the slightest, but it also completely failed with its messaging. The movie tried to say you can’t (and shouldn’t try to) escape your past and that black people in particular should embrace their roots, but instead they accidentally said the city boy was right and the Appalachian country folks are evil, and he should’ve never tried to go back to his abusive father, even for his funeral.

Black witchy misery, kinda batshit and annoying but a fairly fun watch. At least that’s what I remember from watching it a while ago!l for an October movie marathon.
