Sometimes I Think About Dying Reviews

A self-aware, awkward, realistic, beautiful, nerve-wracking lesson. This isn't a movie you watch for fun but to observe and understand. Exactly like being in the mind of someone with depression. Dull, boring, repetative, long. Holding onto every bit of interest you have left. The dialogue was awfully good because I could imagine it taking place in real life. The acting from Daisy was subtle yet dramatic, probably one of the most realistic cries iv witnessed. I loved how every single shot was still and unbelievably beautiful. Oh, and the movieness within a movie is always so weirdly exciting.

9/10 A sweet, heartwarming film, A once dying inside Woman find new life in a new friend. Deep but well delivered. Great cast. Recommend.

i know she was depressed but she was truly a bitch sometimes

Very awkward and I even caught some second hand embarrassment in a few scenes but this movie has some amazing shots and is a pretty good representation of what its like being depressed some days

Oddly calming and although slow it works and kinda makes you feel in the movie

Even in the pace of the film itself, you can feel the weight of the protagonist's depression. It's like trying to swim in quicksand. A very good portrayal.

It's funny how I can enjoy a movie about practically about nothing. I know that we just saw people live their lives in an office, but it has something that I really love. And the performance by Daisy Ridley is so good and different from what I've seen before. I really enjoyed it

I wasn’t sure how to think about this movie at first. Its beauty is in the stillness and the mundanity of the story. Daisy Ridley gives a terrific performance. It tells a subtle story dealing with depression and how we project on other people through actions and inaction.

Slow paced, beautiful movie. Very slice of life. Scenery was gorgeous because it’s filmed in Astoria, Oregon.

Weirdly comforting

A wonderful little indie about how our ability to connect with others can vary. Despite the differences in how we socialize, we cannot close ourselves off from it completely, and I think as a vibe, this movie is right up my alley.

simultaneously the strangest and most normal film that i have ever seen; daisy ridley finally stars in a pretty great film, and does an excellent job. slow and strange until the emotional end, starting off with strong humor. quite enjoyable

A melancholic and beautiful depiction of loneliness and depression. Daisy Ridley delivers a subdued and beautiful performance. The cinematography is phenomenal and the ending is great. A must watch

Great cinematography. Mellow movies like these tend to depend on their topic and viewer’s connection to the plot. I love it when they have the surrealistic symbolic imagery.

What if The Office was about depression? But seriously this was a great film. Uncomfortably relatable.

the photography is just marvelous, everything is calculated and is a work of art, symmetry, beautiful colors, natural. I am more sceptical about the scenario, but is at least great because it is so different and not too much, very peaceful and highly recommended
