Sleepaway Camp Reviews

wow, weirdest gender reveal party i have ever attended.

What the fuk did I just watch

You have to appreciate them trying to do something different but if you already know the twist it's kinda meh

Long baseball scene. Very weird acting and facial expressions and there were multiple child butts shown. the ending was very weird and unexpected and the twist ended off on a freeze frame. In the end it is a very dated 80s movie. It is funny more than scary especially the ending.

I loved this movie as a trans woman but I wish they didn’t make the end her being forced to be transgender because obv throughout the film she loved being a girl… like that was messy but otherwise good trans revenge slasher

Star Rating: 🏕️🏕️🏕️
Favorite Quote: "Eat shit and live, Bill."
Favorite Character: Angela
Brief Thoughts: This movie is camp-y in all senses of the word. (hehe) It's a goofy and fun way to spend your time though, if you have a particularly boring day.

Best ending of any slasher film ever.
Groundbreaking at the time. Hilarious looking back at it now. Fun, nostalgic schlock.👍🏻

4 / 10 ⭐️.

Ending was eery, went into it expecting a bit too much as this is a classic I’ve never watched so when I’ve seen loads of people hyping it I expected a 5 star course but was given a maccies meal with cold fries.

Acting wasn’t just bad it was diabolical even for 80s.

6.5/10 ending still unsettles till this day it’s the way it’s shot is so unexpected the soundtrack in this is also hella underrated

shorts shorts shorts

Overall a fun, campy, but predictable 80s campy horror slasher that’s has some really great moments. Thats ending might be one of the best twist I’ve seen in a horror/slasher film. Genuinely such a creepy scene and super well done.

such bizarre interactions/acting cues but such a solid queer horror.

There was never a dull moment: the acting, the dialogue, the pacing, everyone lowkey being a perv, and that ending—LMAOOO

I hope to create a film someday half as good as this absolute MASTERPIECE

Ricky really is an underrated GOATed older sibling character in horror. He doesn't get his flowers enough. Always looking out for his loved ones and ready to dish out a beating regardless of how much older or bigger the ops are. Meanwhile Judy is one of the worst ever.

unfortunately the twist was spoiled for me prior to watching so my view is skewed. wish angela had remained silent the whole time tbh. would’ve been more mysterious and made the twist hit even more. 6/10
