i’ll say it. i thought it was boring as shit

Hands down one of the dumbest most boring things I have ever watched. Damn you TikTok media people hyping this. It was boring. Just because it’s an original idea doesn’t make it good. Three scares maybe in two hours. Mostly because it’s a quiet movie and they were loud. Avoid it

9.2 - I fault no one that calls this boring & gives it a flat 0. But if you buy in & watch it how it’s meant to be seen, it’s terrifying.

A nightmare straight from brain to screen. That feeling of seeing clothes in the corner and thinking it’s a person, but as a 100 minute film.

when reading the description, i thought it sounded great. however, it simply was just unsettling with no real plot. quite disturbing but also just uncomfortable and doesn’t feel like a movie, especially because it looks like a home video someone forgot they were recording.

poor kevin and kaylee :( they’re such sweethearts, they do not deserve that

i thought the atmosphere was done super well, it felt so real in the sense of being what children would actually do, it even reminded me of sleepovers i’ve had with my sister in the beginning

10/10 would watch 1hr and 30min of dark walls, floor legos, cartoons looping again!
And 10 minutes, I guess stuff happening
I really wanted this to be good
The preview looked very interesting
Took two days to finish
The second day immediately started nodding off

its been forever since a movie actually scared me. im really weak for horror like this, and while there are alot of shots of nothing, i think these shots build the tension for the scares. very artsy. this is a new age of horror

horror movies dont scare me anymore but this genuinely is one of the scariest movies ive ever watched. screw that phone toy i almost cried. the only comfort i had was the amazinf world of gumball theme song playing from my tv because i was watching it on my laptop. i need my mom

Expected to be a LOT more scared and disturbed since everyone was saying this was the scariest thing they’d ever seen, but was severely let down in that regard… Some cool ideas, but just kind of felt like the film version of a tech demo just to show off some vague creepy concepts

I wanted to like it. The aesthetic and idea was there. The execution was awful. Super freaking boring. Painfully boring. Thought maybe I should listen to the movie and stick a knife in my eye. Probably would have improved this movie viewing experience. 😵‍💫

i have never been so anxious during a movie as when i was watching skinamarink. this film is pure atmosphere, from its grainy shots to distorted sounds while you truly never know what is happening or what will happen next. a feat of minimalist genius within the indie horror scene

Very abstract horror film, once you read into the symbolism and significance you will appreciate it more. Not jump scare horror but unsettling for sure.

I liked it but know what you’re getting into. It’s experimental and lives in the grey. The narrative is loose and it focuses more on a nightmarish feeling, exploring what you don’t see more than what you see. If you like a narrative, this won’t be for you.

It’s not the typical horror movie with a bunch of jump scares and all that, but it left me feeling uneasy and tense throughout it. The plot and outcome are left for you to interpret, which I think makes it more entertaining and worth the watch

Its not scary it’s a jump scare. It felt like a better movie for the memes and not to dissect because it’s just not worth it . My favorite theory brain brain because same .

it’s not for everyone. but if you’re looking for something new and inventive this is it. the tension was palpable and i was truly on the edge of my seat the whole way oml

An experimental horror, certainly not for everyone, even medium horror hounds. I enjoyed it for the total submersive experience. The sound messes with your mind throughout and the visuals are subtly unsettling. This is the embodiment of a child’s nightmare.

I think those who said it was boring eitherdont have long attention spansor don't like analog horror (which is fine). This movie reminds me a YouTube analog horror whichi love. Absolutely amazing. The empty shots build a crazy amount of tension
